link to the world- rohit I think Fahrenheit 451 relates to the movie we watched last year in class, Pleasantville. At first when the sister and brother enter Pleasantville, people begin to change and change from black and white on the television into color, similar to how Montag changes. At first there are only a few people with color and are hated by the black and white. This is the situation in Montag's society with a handful of people that like to read. As time passes, more and more people began to change into color very much like how there are more and more people with books giving more duty to the firemen. Eventually, all citizens of Pleasantville turn color which could one day come true in Montag's society where everyone ends up reading.

link to world -johnD. I think that this reminds me of The Island. In the Island they cloned people in case the original person was ever sick or hurt. The people were ignorant and did not see the truth, they thought when they went to the island that it was a paradise, not death. I see the theme of technology in all three Fahrenheit, The Island, and I Robot. They seem to all depend on technology too much and do not care at what costs to attain "happiness" for themselves. In

Enchanted In the chocolate war, the priest is very shallow also. By the fact that he was trying to get the amount of chocolate sold, he begged the Vigils to assist him. Unfortunately, the priest ignored the humiliating way the Vigils used to approach their goal. By this, we can tell that it relates to the Enchanted also.

Enchanted I just saw the movie Enchanted yesterday and it reminded me of Fahrenheit 451. At the beginning of the movie the main charecter did not realize that her fairytale world was shallow and meaningless. She was going to marry the prince just after one day. She later realized that the fairytale world did not actually maker her happy. This reminds me of Fahrenheit because both main charecters changed there views on life after they both experienced a life altering event. Montag met Clarisse and the charecter in Enchanted entered the real world. Also in both movie and book the main charecter changes their outlook while their original loved ones do not.

link to world -johnD. This book reminds me of the movie "I-Robot", staring Will Smith. In “I-Robot”, the robots engage itself trying to take over the world by replacing the “old robots” to “newer robots”, the newer robots found its own mind and brainwashes all the new robots to do whatever the mother robot wants them to do. In the movie, Will Smith never liked the robots, but by the end of the movie he changes his mind and thinks they are “better”. This is the opposite of Montag, before he met Mildred, Montag had enjoyed burning books, he enjoyed his technology, but after he met Mildred, he realized that he doesn’t. In the movie “I-Robots”, I think what the movie director was trying to teach us not to rely on technology too much or else it could “evolve” into something different, this is quite similar to what I think Bradbury is trying to teach us. I think Bradbury is trying to teach us not to take advantage of things we usually take for granted nowadays, but instead we should take these things we get and appreciate it well.

relate to the real world It is very obvious fact that relates to the real world now, it is when the society attempt to conceal Montag from the citizens. In reality, we hide things behind people, won't face the truth, always escapes. For example, talking about global warming, people don't take it seriously, they always disregard the fact that the result of global warming might lead to a catastophe.

John D artwork discussion. the excerpt is from the end of page 30, starting with, 'but most of all' it ends on page 31 with 'even showed people'.
this excerpt shows that the people in F451 talk, but like jessica said, they talk about nonesense, not about anything that really matters
